Conducting Effective Meetings

In this course delegates learn how to establish the purpose and agenda of a meeting and facilitate participants’ progress toward the meeting goals. The course also helps delegates improve their leadership abilities, facilitate situation analysis, brainstorming, and decision making, foster creative thinking and manage conflict among meeting participants.

Participants who complete this course will be able to:

  • Improve the quality and effectiveness of meetings they lead and participate in
  • Focus on key issues and challenges relating to chairing meetings, such as: keeping the meeting on track, making and clarifying decisions
  • Introduce powerful and flexible tools and techniques for effectively chairing meetings, whatever the participants’ previous experience or circumstances
  • Receive clear direction and feedback for ongoing personal development
  • Benefit from a range of learning styles, including a variety of practical exercises, opportunities for personal assessment, and presentation of key techniques and strategies
